The Language Diversity & Literacy Development Research Group is guided by the goal of increasing opportunities-to-learn for all. We especially focus on students in today’s classrooms from diverse linguistic, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Dedicated to the science of learning, the team strives to generate and disseminate progressive and pragmatic knowledge about children’s vocabulary and reading development. Our findings inform the work of researchers, practitioners, and decision-makers. The team is committed to helping local, national and international stakeholders make real and sustainable improvements in reading outcomes.
