Rebecca Lebowitz is a doctoral student in the Human Development and Education concentration at HGSE. Prior to coming to HGSE, Rebecca taught third grade and special education at a bilingual school in Washington, DC. Her research interests include literacy development and instructional coaching in early childhood education. As part of the the Language Diversity and Literacy Development Research Group, Rebecca contributes to the development of a literacy curriculum and initiative; coordinates research projects focused on understanding early child development and early educators’ professional development experiences; and conducts data analyses including narrative coding.  Rebecca earned her B.A. from Brown University and her Ed.M. in Language and Literacy from HGSE.
